I heard that liposuction is one of the most painful operations. Is it really? And I also read somewhere that the positive effect is not guaranteed, while the lost fat may grow again in a very short period of time.

Liposuction is not a method of weight loss, but rather, a procedure aimed at correcting and modeling contours of the face and body. Liposuction itself as surgical procedure is absolutely painless, as it is performed under local anesthesia and an additional NFA, general anesthesia or subdural anesthesia, depending on the location of zones undergoing liposuction. Soreness (the feeling of bloating) may occur in the first 2-3 days, depending on the increase in swelling of soft tissue areas undergoing liposuction. Taking painkiller medication in the first 2-3 days is required. For non-smokers, young and non-overweight patients this process is sustained in a much easier and painless fashion. It is very important to choose the correct post-operative bandage, which must be worn 1.5 - 2 months depending on the size of zones undergoing liposuction.

In order to establish a stable metabolism after liposuction, observance of a moderate diet is necessary.
